January 1, 2010 tip of the day

It is the first day of a new year and a perfect time for some top 10 list . I have 3 new year themed top 10 list to suggest. You should write these list down and keep them because at the end of the year it is always good to go back and look at these to see how you have progressed or changed.
Okie so here ya go:
1. OFF WITH THE OLD:   write down the top ten negative aspects of your life you would like to be rid of.
2. THINK ABOUT THE PRESENT: write down the top 10 things you really enjoy about your life(come on be positive!) maybe it is people in your life, what you do, food you like, things your make, your pet, whatever it is that you find most positive, just write it down
3. IN WITH THE NEW: write down the top 10 things you would like to do or create . Whether it be something you want to change, a skill you want to learn, a project you want to start, traveling, something you want to cook, a book you want to read, person you want to meet, if it is your top 10 then write it down.
Okie so there ya go the first of 365 days of creativity. Exercise that brain, lift lift, stretch....

Our NY resolution- 365 days of creativity...

I think it would be a fun challenge to try to provide a tip or point of inspiration for every day this year. So somedays there may be more than one post if I have other things to share  but there should always be at least a tip o' the day.Of course if I know I will be away from computer i will post the next few days ahead but so you know what the tip of the day is I will start each post off with that day's date in the title. So there ya go, be inspired and inspire others...

A really cool show......Deluxe Indie Craft Bazaar

This show was super fun and super motivating to crafty types. whether you want to shop handmade or just be inspired to do it yourself, there was something for everyone! The best part is that it is all truelly handmade and from artists in the regional area so you are supporting local and knowing your $ is going back into the community. This show is done twice a year and has fresh new goods everytime, I mean of course you are going to have a few of those same ol jewelry folks who do something similar to all the other jewelry artists, but overall they do a really good job of gathering a variety of vendors and even if they do make the same type of item, the styles are still different enough to provide the diversity.
So , sad you missed this one... Watch for the next one at www.deluxeok.net and hey to those considering putting your own creative endeavors out there.. this is a great place to do it whether you publish your own zines or book, making indie crafts, or want to promote your music these gals like to put it all together to "celebrate creativity"

P.S. some other great OK shows to look for are Dustbowl Market in Norman, Indie Emporium in Tulsa, and Plaza Festival in Plaza District OKC
